Countries with tilers

I’ve just changed my method for updating the tiling records page so that it should be semi-automated going forward. We now have leaderboards for 27 countries (Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Chile, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Egypt, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Japan, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, the Republic of Ireland, Russia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, the United Kingdom and the United States).

There are two countries – the Netherlands and Russia – where the max square leader and the max cluster are different.

  1. Can we get a leaderboard for max cluster as well. A couple of us living in Lancaster struggle with max square. Cheers

    1. You are right – the presentation is biased towards squarers rather than clusterers. I will try to fix this for next time – the trick is coming up something vaguely “neat” for countries where the two lists will be very similar (eg same top 8 people in same order)

Enjoying your site… I was surprised to see others in Spain, I had been looking for fellow tilers. The only problem is that, at least in one of the cases, the tiler got his square in another country.

    1. Hi Bruce, thanks for the feedback. The country is by default derived from whatever location the user puts in their Strava profile, as this can be done automatically. But I now have an override system – so if you could point me at the user name I can put their real country manually.
